When our dad died when I was 8 and Carl was 15, he was not only my big brother, but added part-time dad. He lovingly teased me ke a brother does, but helped me with my algebra (he was so good at it, and I was so bad) and dried my tears like a dad. He always encouraged me to be the best person that I could be. His respect that he showed to our mother proved to me that he was a good role model.
Our last couple of visits were ones of remembering our childhood and loving each other as the people we had become.
Carl, you will always live in my heart. I have always loved you!
Your little sister
