Carol Jean Brinkoetter

Jeanie was born in Shawnee to James Howard Ellison and Patricia Annette Ellison (nee Evans) on February 28, 1957. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but she also worked at Country Boy IGA in Norman and Crest Foods in Moore. She forever cherished the friends she made at her places of employment. Jeanie and her family attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Norman, and for a few years she served as the cook for the church school, as well. She was widely known as a terrific cook and cake decorator, having provided beautiful special occasion cakes for many family members and friends. Jeanie also enjoyed crafting and decorating, and she continued creating beautiful holiday wreaths up to the time of her passing.

Jeanie is preceded in death by her father, Howard Ellison; her husbands, Terry Burton and Dennis Brinkoetter; her infant son, Daniel Brinkoetter; and her brothers-in-law, Charlie Arebalo and Joseph (Eddie) Dockery. She is survived by her mother, Patricia, of Mustang; sister Cheryl Arebalo of Noble; brother Tony (Karen) Ellison of Mustang; sister Lisa Dockery of OKC; sister Tammy Gossman of Mustang; Brother Marty (Lisa) Ellison of Denton, TX; son Steve (Samantha) Brinkoetter of Grandview TX; daughter Angela (Jay) Moore of Chesapeake, VA; daughter Shelly Burton of Boise, ID; daughter Denise Brinkoetter of Norman; daughter Cathryn Brinkoetter of the home; son Matthew (Kaley Guinn) Brinkoetter of the home; grandchildren Ashley, Leslie, Hannah, Wyatt, Bridgett, Morgan, and Dylan, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The service will be officiated by Reverend David Nehrenz at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 8701 Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 29th. The family will receive visitors at Chapel Hill on Friday, October 28th from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
