Carol Ann Stringer

Carol Ann Stringer died quietly at her home on Valentine’s Day surrounded by her family. She was born September 20, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, to George Elmer and Hazel Davis Woodson. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and also her beloved aunts Allie, Ann, Faye Davis, Rhea Harmon and uncle Everett Davis. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dean Stringer; two children Craig Woodson of Incline Village, NV and Laura Stringer Lane of OKC; 3 grandchildren Samuel Dean, Charles Davis and Emma Anne. Carol was a graduate of Sunset High School in Dallas. She attended the University of Tulsa where she majored in Journalism and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Carol’s legacy includes her devotion to family, a special grace and beauty and innate kindness. She was always involved in her children’s activities and there was always room for one more child in the car. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
