Carolyn B Drake (McCray) passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at the age of 76, after a short battle with brain cancer. Born in Miami, Oklahoma on June 10, 1948, Carolyn was a devoted mother,
Nannie/Noodles, and friend.
She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1966 and lived most of her life in Midwest City. She retired from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and enjoyed painting, traveling, decorating, and cooking. But even more than that, she loved spending time with her friends and her family, especially her grandkids.
Carolyn was a member at Life Church in Midwest City and enjoyed serving there. She loved to laugh and make people laugh, and was always the life of the party.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Allen and Betty McCray, and her brothers Kirk and Larry McCray.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brett and Scott Currie, her son and daughter-in-law Adam and Crystal Drake, and her beloved grandchildren Sawyer Currie, his wife Macey, and their daughter Mara, Brock Currie, and Gabby Drake.
