The Emeritus Faculty Association from the University of Central Oklahoma sends sincere condolences to the family of Carveth Osterhaus.  He had a long and distinguished career and will be remembered by faculty and students for his outstanding work in musical productions

As a precious family friend, my earliest childhood memories include Carveth, Kay and Megan.  They were a true part of our family.  Dinners at our house were never dull with his sense of humor.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching my father and Carveth interact.  My fondest memory was after an OCU production of Hansel and Gretel.  I loved the witch cookie prop and wanted to take it home with me.  My father knew Dale Hall always saved one prop from each production and wouldn't let me take it.  Carveth drove all the way to our house that same night and put the witch cutout in our front window.  It meant the world to me and 40 years later, I still remember how excited I was to see it in the window.  Carveth will truly be missed but I know he's in Heaven with my dad collaborating on their next masterpiece!
