Cecil Wesley Henry, 94, of Choctaw was born on May 5, 1931, to Charles W. and Addie C. (Briscoe) Henry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Cecil Passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025 in Norman, Oklahoma. Eleven days is all he could make it without the love of his life Audrey, who had just passed away on October 22.
Cecil had a very unusual beginning to his life. His father passed away just a couple months after Cecil was born. Four short years later his mother passed as well. Cecil was taken- in by his uncle on their farm in Wapanucka, Oklahoma. Only a few years later his uncle decided to move them to Oakland California. Cecil was in Jr High School in Oakland when his older brother Charles decided to fly his small plane to California, pick up Cecil, and move him back to Oklahoma to live with him. Charles and Cecil were bachelors, living together and enjoying life, when Cecil met a feisty young waitress at the local cafe named Audrey. They were soon married and spent the next 74 years together.
Shortly after Cecil and Audrey were married, they moved to Seattle where Cecil served in the Army. After his service was done, they moved back to Oklahoma City and later to Nicoma Park, where they raised their family. Cecil spent most of his years working for Dolly Madison where he retired in the late 1990s. Cecil had the biggest heart, a contagious smile and was loved by all of those he came in contact with; especially his family.
Like Audrey, Cecil enjoyed playing games with family and friends. He loved playing golf, and making wood projects for any occasion, but his most favorite pastime was travelling with Audrey and their friends in their RV across the country.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife Audrey, his parents, a brother Charles and a sister Deloris. He is survived by his son Greg Henry and wife Jeri of Goldsby, OK; a daughter Dana Swindle and husband Jeff of McKinney, TX; granddaughters Amber Reynolds and husband Haynes, Kristen Sweet and husband Josh, grandson Justin Swindle, granddaughters Megan Swindle and wife Sarai, and Courtney Swindle.
