Cecil Coy Weeks

Cecil was born on December 23, 1933 in his beloved Tennessee to John Williams Weeks and Polly (Ralston) Weeks. He was the youngest of 9 children. He graduated from Lawrenceburg High School. He spent 2 years in Michigan as Conscientious Objector after graduating high school.

He married Jeanetta Joyce Branch on July 4th, 1957 at the Capitol Hill Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, OK.

His very best friend in life, Foy Hawkins and he started a plastering business named H&W Plastering, Inc. in 1974. During their long partnership over the years they worked on many buildings in OKC.

He became a member of the Church of Christ as a teenager at the Chapel Grove congregation in TN. He attended the 7th Street and NW 21st St congregations after moving to Oklahoma. He lived his life in faithfulness to The Lord and raised his family to love The Lord as he did.

A couple of years after the passing of his beloved wife Jeanetta, he then married Shirley Pruitt on November 30, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Ok.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Jeanetta; parents John William and Polly Weeks; brothers Leemon, Paul and Herbert; sisters Ilanel, Flora, Grace, Eunice and Mary.

He is survived by his three daughters, Tonya Lynette Nichols and husband Lonnie, Sherri Kyla Stipes and husband Richard, Brenda Kay Parrish and husband Pat. His five grandchildren, Bradley Stipes and wife Aliese, Lauren Timmons and husband Caleb, Hayleigh Bowen and husband Cody, Derek Nichols and wife Elizabeth, Zachary Weeks and wife Breana. His 12 great grandchildren, Carson, Jackson, Hadelyn, Lyla, Cyrus, Ruger, Sunley, Haven, Theodore, Rhettlyn, Davis and Oliver. And numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his wife Shirley, her children Tammy, Staci, Kyle and Darcy, and her ten grandchildren.

Arrangements under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.

A visitation and family will receive guests will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, October 27th at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A celebration of life service will be Friday, October 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
