Charles was born to parents Arlen and Mamie Green in Keota, OK. He was the eldest boy in a family of 11 children; sisters Arlene Hattenhuer , Irene Fouts, deceased, Pauline Smith, Barbara Buchanan, Caroline Powell, Geneva Shannon, Mary Lou Hatfield; and brothers Vernon Green, deceased, Richard Green, deceased, and Tommy Green.
As a youngster, Charles traveled with his family throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and New Mexico, before finally settling in Oklahoma.
On July 23, 1958, Charles wed his beloved Dolly Beatrice Belt; they celebrated 57 years of marriage before the Lord called Charles home. Truly Love can last forever.
Charles was always a hard worker, working in the cotton and vegetable fields as a youngster, and then going into construction and concrete fieldwork after his marriage. A shrewd businessman, he started his own concrete business, which he continued to operate until his death. He also started and ran a successful tool business, buying and selling throughout Oklahoma and the surrounding states.
Charles and Dolly received the Holy Ghost in 1961, and he and his family began attending church at that time. He received the Lord's call into ministry around 1968. In 1975, he became the founding pastor at the True Apostolic Church in Oklahoma City, which later relocated to Choctaw, OK. He will be greatly missed by his church congregation.
He was the father of 7 children; Janet Green, Rose Eden, Charlotte Fricker, Sammy Green, deceased, Mark Green, Karen Kelly, and Daniel Green.
He was thrilled to have 13 Grandchildren - Brandon, Jason,Chad, Trent, Marshall, Summer, Zane, Promise, Sarah, Tyler, Emily, Jeffrey, and Isabella; as well as 15 Great-Grandchildren - Noah, Mila, Kenzie & Kaylynn, Alex, Chance, Bradyn, Allison, Landon, Brooklynn, Tristen, Taylor, Ian, Kason, and Maci.
He had many friends, as well as a host of "adopted" kids and grandkids, spread far and wide throughout the country. He was well known for his direct manner of speaking, his faith, and his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by one and all.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with burial following at Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma.
