Charles Douglas Greene

Charles Douglas “Charlie” Greene, 80 year-old resident of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away February 28, 2017 at his home. Born July 31, 1936 in Ashland, Kentucky, he was the son of Jesse Henry Greene and Anna Lee (Brown) Greene. Charlie was an Army veteran and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. He collected pictures and enjoyed spending time with his fellow veteran’s at their favorite hangout. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Anna Lee Greene; 2 brothers, Roger Greene; and Kenneth Greene; and 1 infant sister, Elizabeth. Survivors include his wife Susan Arlene Greene of the home; 3 sons, Charles Greene, Jr. of Lexington, Kentucky; Dennis Welchel of Del City, Oklahoma; and Steven Greene of Lexington, Kentucky; 1 daughter, Glenna Johnson of Jones, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Kathy Greene of Spencer, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Jim Greene of Moore, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73141.
