Charles Albert Moore, age 97 of Oklahoma City, was born April 13, 1921 in Hugo, OK and raised in Cushing, OK. He passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. After graduating from Cushing High School, Charles joined the U. S. Army Air Corps. During WWII he was stationed in the Caribbean and made many lifelong friends. He married Helen Suzanne Metz and they had one child, Gary James Moore. March 21, 1955, he married Edna Louise Thompson and they had one child, Charles A (Chuck) Moore, Jr. and adopted another child, Lori Jane. Charles retired from the U.S. Government as an aircraft safety investigator on the KC-135. A multi-talented man, he loved music and western dancing as well as playing the harmonica and the violin. After retiring, he enjoyed oil painting, wood carving with the OKC woodcarvers club, and helped his wife with sewing and quilting. Survivors include his children, Gary Moore and wife Kathy of Las Vegas, NV, Charles A. Moore Jr. and wife Stormy of OKC, Lori Walker of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Michael D. Walker, Trevian D. Walker; Laura L. Moore; and Charles A. Moore III; great-grandchild, Dottie Walker. He is preceded in death by his parents Emmit and Bessie; brothers, Theron, Neal; and sisters, Reba, Cledith, Berniece, and Eldean. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday April 23, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with internment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
