
Charles Henry White went to be with his Personal Lord and Savor on May 26, 2018 while being comforted by his special friend, Ginger and Hal Grotts. Charles (Charlie to his friends – Hank to his cousins) was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on May 13, 1950. He lived in San Antonio, Texas until the age of eight when his parents moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma. Charlie relished his early childhood days hunting with family in Cherokee, Texas. Charlie moved to Japan with his family for five of his teen years where he experienced Japanese life and culture. He adopted their thoughtfulness and was a wonderful house guest and gentleman. Upon returning to Oklahoma, he attended Oklahoma University studying business and finance. Charlie loved his family’s 100 acre ranch outside of Shawnee where he met the Merritt family and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his lifelong friend, Fred Merritt. Charlie was an excellent conversationalist and listener, and loved to combine good food with good conversation. He chose to remain a bachelor while he loved his family and many good friends ad was a wonderful “Uncle Charlie” to their children and grandchildren. Charlie worked around Midwest City most of his life but also spent time in Florida and McQueeney, Texas. During the last six years of his life he worked at Eaton in Shawnee and enjoyed his responsibilities there. Charlie had an infectious laugh, a warm smile, a generous heart, and was supportive and loving caregiver to his parents. He will be missed by many. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Frank White. He is survived by several cousins and his augmented family.
A memorial service will be held in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery on August 11, 2018 at ten o’clock in the morning.
