Cheryl Lynn Boughman

Sheri was born in Akron, Ohio. After high school she attended Kent State University and graduated with a bachelor's in education with a minor in history and social studies.

She married Jim Sr. in May 1968 and they entered into a military career of 25.5 years, serving the United States Air Force.

Jim’s last assignment brought them to Oklahoma, where they have lived in Edmond for 40 years. Sheri worked at Pattie’s Hallmark for 17 years and then she moved to Providence Hall as an office manager. When Providence Hall became “The Academy of Christian Studies,” she became business manager and became known as “Mrs. B” to the school. She loved all the children and made the school an amazing place. She supported the headmaster, the teachers, and the children with their needs, especially with cough drops!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lorraine Wade, and her younger sister, Janet Wade. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim Sr., her two sons and their wives – Jim Jr. and Carolyn Boughman and Robb and Melany Boughman, and one sister, Carol Jackson.

Cheryl is survived by eight grandchildren: Dakota and his wife, Madyson, Megan, Chloee, Max, Maddie, Rex, and Raymond. She is also survived by one great-grandson, James.

Cheryl celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church (FPC) in Oklahoma City on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 am.
