C.M. (Clarence Melvin) Simmons was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Hammon, OK. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis W. Simmons, CA; mother, Mabel Simmons, Sayre, OK; wife of 46 years, FanEl Simmons, OKC and sister, Norma Jean Webb, IL. C.M. was dedicated to his profession as a CPA. He was a faithful member of May Avenue Methodist Church for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; son Steve Simmons & wife Darlene, daughter Gail Griffin & husband Tommy; step-daughter Suzanne Leggett & husband Freddy. Grandchildren include Erin Simmons, Anthony Simmons, Tanner & wife Reagan Simmons, Taylor & wife Marieka Griffin, Blake Griffin & Jace Leggett. Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday March 13, 2011 at Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers please donate to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
