Claude Odell Gage, born on August 14, 1939, in Wanette, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and service to his family and community. He was the son of Edward Calvin Gage and Ollie Henry, and he carried with him the values instilled by his roots throughout his life.
Claude’s life was guided by a deep commitment to family and service. He was preceded in death by his cherished brothers, Lloyd, Floyd, and Robert, and his beloved sisters, Lila, Millie, and Mary, all of whom were also from Wanette. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Reynolds Gage, whose loss left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.
Claude proudly served his country in the Army Security Agency for three years, demonstrating integrity, dedication, and honor. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career as a civil servant at Tinker Air Force Base, where he dedicated more than 30 years in various critical roles, earning the respect of colleagues and leadership alike.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Gage and his wife Lori of Oklahoma City, and Chad Gage and his wife Michelle of Fort Worth, Texas. Claude was a proud grandfather to Sharvea Larman, Justice Gage, Jack Gage, and Paul Gage, and a treasured great-grandfather to Vivian and Tilly Larman. He is also survived by his brother, Walter Taylor Gage of Norman, Oklahoma and brother in law Leroy Reynolds of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A devoted husband, father, and veteran, Claude found joy in connecting with others. A talented musician and singer, he especially loved serenading his beloved Sharon, a beautiful reflection of the deep love they shared. Known for his storytelling and genuine interest in others, Claude will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
