

Colleen was born in Stigler, Oklahoma to Walter Grant Dobbs and Etta Elizabeth Norris Dobbs. She was the youngest of six siblings. She was preceded in death by all but one, also her husband of 57 years, Bill (Buddy) Sturdevant and her granddaughter Natalie Jo Jones who was killed at the age of 18 by a drunk driver.
Colleen and Buddy were Henryetta High School sweethearts. She was a stay at home mom until she went to work in retail for C. R. Anthony Co. in the mid-60s to the late 80s. Bethany, Oklahoma was home for many years. Peniel Baptist Church was her place of worship. She had many talents, she played the harmonica, had a lovely singing voice, was a good cook and seamstress and an artist who left behind many beautiful oil paintings. Her pets were also her passion.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Jones and husband Johnny and grandson Chad Baker. Her son Grant Sturdevant, granddaughter Sanda Dowell and husband Kirk, great grandchildren Katy Mullins and husband Eric and great great granddaughter Trinity and grandson Steven Dowell, and sister Evelyn Akin of Bullhead City, Arizona who is nine years her senior.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK.
