Throughout her long and full life, Connie made her home in many places, including Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Florida. No matter where she lived, she brought warmth, resilience, and kindness with her.
On June 18, 1955, Connie married the love of her life, Donald DeSplinter. They shared decades of devotion and partnership until his passing on August 31, 2021.
Connie had a spirit drawn to beauty and peace. Her idea of a perfect day was spending time sailing on a calm, endless ocean—feeling the breeze, the sun, and the sense of quiet freedom she cherished.
Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Donald DeSplinter, parents, Lawrence and Mary Frakes, and her brother, Duane Frakes.
She is survived by her son, Robert DeSplinter and his wife Jill of Mustang, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her niece and nephew.
