Connie Faulkner

Connie Faulkner, 80, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 26, 2010, with her family by her side in Oklahoma City, OK. Connie was born October 17, 1930, in Littlefield, TX to Lela and H.D. Andrews. She moved to Lubbock in 1940 where she would later meet and marry James R. Faulkner on July 28, 1947. They later moved to Altus, Ok where they raised their daughter Lynn. Connie worked within the Court system in Oklahoma City, Dallas, and then served as Federal Court Clerk in Wichita Falls, TX. She spent the remainder of her life in Oklahoma City with her daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Connie was a vivacious woman who always tried to better herself and her surroundings. She was an avid gardener and cook. She was a beloved Mother and Nana and will never be forgotten. Connie is survived by her daughter, Lynn Bates and her husband, Terry; granddaughter, Laura Gribben; and grandson, James Bates. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Bluebonnet Memorial Park in Colleyville, TX. Also, a visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 3-9 pm, with family greeting friends from 5-7 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home; 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
