Connie Ruth Hughes

Connie Ruth Hughes, 68 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away February 27, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born January 29, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of James Reford Hughes and Margaret Francis (Wallis) Hughes. Connie worked in Telemarketing and as a Customer Service Representative for various companies. She loved crafts; coloring books; sewing; crocheting; and making things with her hands of any sort. She loved butterflies and fairy’s; bright colors; trips to the Ocean; and especially her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Reford Hughes and 1 brother, Lawrence Andrew Hughes. Survivors include her mother, Margaret Hughes of Oklahoma City, OK; 1 son, Louis Charles Mion and his wife Denise of Gulfport, Mississippi; 1 daughter, Cynthia Strickland and her husband Larry Strickland, II; 3 grandchildren, Amanda; Raymond; and Colt; 3 great-grandchildren, Tre; Alia; and Izabela; 1 brother, Eugene Hughes and his wife Jackie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73141 with Pastor Andy Busch officiating.
