

Cormack P. Hearn, 95, of Midwest City, OK passed away 9/12/15. He was born 10/10/19 in Belleville, NJ to Cormack and Madeline (Froberg) Hearn. Mac came to the Midwest City area in 1942 and became a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at that time. He was also a third degree Knight of Columbus. Mac was a computer pioneer, and was instrumental in the installation of the first computer system at Tinker Air Force Base. He was also a successful real estate investor, providing a legacy that will last for generations. He was very proud of his Jersey roots, but he sprouted a few in Oklahoma too as could be seen in his love for OU football. Mac was respected by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Hearn; children; Mike Hearn and wife Phyllis, Pat Hearn and wife Candy, Tammy Latimer and husband John, Susan Bostick and husband Joe, Joanne Rickard, Cathy Goodwin, Lisa Anderson and Dani Galluzzo and husband Mick; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charlie Hearn and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Nick Goodwin; and his siblings. Mac was very witty and had a unique sense of humor. He loved puns, especially the ‘groaners’. Most importantly, Mac was a role model for his family, showing them what a father, husband and grandfather should be. Mac loved going to the lake with his grandchildren and fishing. Mac was a man of integrity, with a strong love for the Lord. He was generous, compassionate, a great friend and a good listener. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, 9/18/15 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City.
