Dale Nathanial Shumway, 76, of Oklahoma City, OK died August 31st 2020 in Oklahoma City surrounded by his loving family. Dale was born in Mesa, Arizona to Jesse N. Smith Shumway and Leoma B. Shumway. Dale grew up an on busy dairy farm in Chandler AZ with 8 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Chandler High school in 1963 where he was a standout football player. In 1965 Dale moved to Wenden, AZ where he was a hardworking cotton farmer for 20 yrs before moving to Oklahoma in 1985. He married Kathy Viola Roberts on June 18th 1970. In 1996 Dale decided to try his hand at home building and land development. He spent the last 24 years growing a successful home building business. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he was a faithful servant of the lord. Dale was always busy with youth and scouting trips. He had a love for life with multiple hobbies such as golf, fishing, hunting, and loving his family. He had a passion for horses and riding. He is preceded in death by parents: Jesse and Leoma Shumway, Sister: Marlene. He is survived by wife: Kathy Shumway of 50 years. Children: Jess & wife Brandi Shumway, Celeste Miller, Jacob & wife Carrie Shumway. Siblings: Keith Shumway, David Shumway, Jean Buetler, Jessie Essley, Harvey Shumway, Bill Shumway, & Clara Barnett. Grandchildren: Austin & wife Kylee Shumway, Joshua & wife Maggie Shumway, Kathryn Miller, Alyssa Miller, Joelsten Miller, Lillian Shumway, Joslyn Shumway, Jordyn Shumway, Ashlyn Shumway.
