Daniel grew up in Pauls Valley and attended Pauls Valley High School. Over the years, he lived in Denver, Norman, Ardmore, and Murfreesboro before eventually making his home in Oklahoma City.
Daniel was proud of his work as a heavy equipment operator and earned the nickname “#1 Pipe Layer” through his dedication and skill. He approached life with the same easygoing and laid-back spirit that his family came to admire and learn from. No matter what he was doing, Daniel had a way of being the best at it, always bringing humor, confidence, and heart into every room he entered.
He loved music, especially songs by Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood, along with hip hop music. His favorite color was black, and his perfect day was simple: watching sports all day and joking around with the people he loved most. One of the most memorable moments of his life was winning the lottery, a story he enjoyed sharing with others.
Daniel was a devoted family man who deeply loved those closest to him. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his mother Anita Blevins, his brother, Marc Butcher and wife Shannon of Manchester, and their children Blake Barker and Annyston Barker; his brother, Matt Butcher and wife Misty of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and their children Kaylee Butcher and Isaiah Butcher; and his sister, Jennifer Butcher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wayne and Anna Campbell.
Daniel will be remembered for his humor, his laid-back spirit, his hardworking nature, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. He leaves behind memories that will continue to bring laughter and comfort to all who knew him.
