

A visitation for Danny will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159.
Danny Lee Kimbley, age 74, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Danny was born January 28, 1946 in Antioch, CA to Helen Bernice (Hicklin) Kimbley and Howard Virgil Kimbley.
Danny Lee Kimbley passed from this life to his heavenly home on November 25th, 2020.
Howard & Helen Kimbley were living in Antioch, California when Danny was born on Jan. 28, 1946. His parents moved back to Dill, Oklahoma where they lived for several years before returning to California where he attended elementary school thru the 8th grade. He was a crossing guard and he received free movie passes. His parents returned to Dill where he attended high school, after high school he attended Votech at Oklahoma Presbyterian College in Durant. During this time, he moved with his parents to Oklahoma City. That is when he met his wife, Karen Bell when he moved down the street from her. They were married at Crestline Baptist Church on August 26th, 1966. Danny was a professional photographer like his father. He developed film and printed black & white photos as well. He later learned motor winding at Evans Electric. He enjoyed working there until he retired.
He loved electronics and trying to repair items for family members! There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. Tinkering in the garage is where you would normally find him. Some of his favorite things were picking on his sisters (or anyone for that matter), telling jokes, mastering mind teasing puzzles, Elvis, John Wayne, and Grandma Bell’s pecan pie.
Danny was baptized at a young age in the Church of Christ. He loved the Lord and spent many hours listening to his bible tapes, and studying the Bible. Danny was a hard worker, and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen Kimbley, his two children Timmy Rae Kimbley & Tish Walker, Christy Eve Kimbley Stover & husband, Richard Stover, his two sisters Sharon Kimbley Brogdon & husband, Donnie Brogdon, & Linda Kimbley Day. Grandchildren: Christopher Alexander & Sara Gnau,Tara & Russell Webster, Kayla & Kevin Statton, Danielle & Derek Martinez,Tori Kimbley, Richard Stover II & Tiffany Hall, Ashley Stover & Nick Gouge. Danny has 11 great grandchildren and was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Virgil Kimbley & mother, Helen Kimbley.
Serving as pallbearers are Timmy Rae Kimbley, Richard Stover, Richard Stover II, Christopher Alexander, Tara Nicole Webster, Ashley Stover and Danielle Martinez.
