Danny was born in Ft. Smith, AR. to Anna and Aloys Kraemer. Danny’s family moved to Oklahoma City where they owned a small grocery store during the Depression. Danny’s job was sweeping the floors. He attended Classen High School after which he enlisted in the US Army and served in WWII in the South Pacific, Amphibian Division. Upon returning as a WWII Veteran, Danny graduated college in Okmulgee and began working at International Harvester repairing and maintaining their truck fleet. He stayed with IH for 9 years until he went into business with Standard Process Laboratories in Oklahoma City where he worked until he retired 30 years later. Retirement brought an opportunity for Danny and his wife, Carolyn, to enjoy traveling all over the United States and Alaska.
Danny married Carolyn on July 21, 1950. They were members of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Danny enjoyed woodworking, repair projects and tinkering with things—he was a “perfectionist!” He loved watching NASCAR. His greatest passion was spending time with his loving family, especially his 3 grandchildren who brightened his days.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wendell and Francis. He is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughters Marilyn Kraemer and Janet Baker and husband Andy; grandchildren, Angela, Andrew and Chelsea Baker.
