Darrell Leroy Countess, age 66, of Blanchard, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. Darrell was born November 21, 1954 in Lawrence, KS. A visitation for Darrell will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A celebration of life will occur Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Quest Church, 6450 36th Ave NW, Norman, OK 73072.

Darrell Countess, was born November 21,1954, in Lawrence Kansas, to the parentage of Darrell and Izetta Countess. Darrell was the second of eight children. Darrell spent his primary years in Kansas. During his youth, he moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma. Darrell served his country in the Army Reserve, as a parachuter. Which explains his passion and fondness for thrill seeking rides; roller coasters and other

adventurous rides. Darrell was employed at Central Freight Line, for twenty-four years as a truck driver. He was married to the beautiful and vivacious Jacqueline Pouder. They experienced 38 plus years of God’s wonderful covenant of marriage. They are truly an illustration of Genesis 2:24 Amp. Darrell, was a natural comedian and joke teller. One of his greatest joys was making family and friends, smile and

laugh! Darrell was an avid music lover. He would always win at the game of “Name That Tune.” Darrell was an excellent pool player, outstanding at flying his remote controlled planes, and racing his remote controlled cars. He could build just about anything, including his own race car. After working 10-12 hours, Darrell, would come home and continue to create, build, and make repairs. He was a bona fide “Jack of

All Trades!” He loved assisting the children and lately the grandchildren with their homework. Darrell, would always find time to bring laughter to those in his presence, by sharing and cracking jokes Regardless of how busy and inundated Darrell and Jacqui were they would always make time to hosts family holidays, birthdays, couples nights, game nights, or just an old fashion Ice cream party at their beautiful, very inviting, and spacious home. Darrell was exposed to God in his early childhood, by

attending the Assemblies of God Fellowship with his paternal grandmother. He rededicated his life to Jesus The Christ, as his Lord and Personal Savior, in his late twenties. He was a true example of a “Man of God.” Darrell overcame some challenging obstacles from his childhood, through love, earnest forgiveness, and never murmuring. Darrell would only speak words; stating the best of people. His daily walk exemplified the qualities and image of our Lord and Savior, His Son Jesus The Christ, and that he was clearly lead and submitted unto the Holy Spirit…As a Believer, Darrell never drank, consumed drugs, and never used profanity. The times that he would get upset, the most you would hear him say was “Dag gum it,” and a frown would shortly fade, and turn into a smile. His walk and relationship with the

Lord was extremely paramount to him. We can truly say that Darrell, "walked the walk, and talked the talk!” His mission was to be a light in the darkness. In every area of Darrell’s settings, and for those that were a part of his environment; he displayed and expressed love and kindness at all times. Darrell was a servant and diligent member of Quest Church in Norman, Oklahoma. On August 30th, Darrell was promoted into the arms of his Heavenly Father, to spend his eternal reward. Being comforted and cherishing his memory, are his loving and devoted wife Jacqui, sons; Brock and Corey, daughters; Winnie, Stephanie, Keshana (Geoff), Isela, siblings; Vicki (Terry), Ada, Keith (Michelle), Kevin (Rita), Mike, Howard, and Richard, a hosts of grandchildren, great-grand children, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and the Quest Church family.
