In Loving Memory of David Lynn Barnett
David Lynn Barnett was born on December 25, 1952, in Harrah, Oklahoma, to Lora and Calvin Barnett. He grew up in the Harrah and Choctaw communities and attended Choctaw High School, where he was a talented track star.
After graduating high school, David proudly joined the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he began a long and dedicated career with Dayton Tire, where he worked for more than 30 years. David was a hardworking man who believed in doing things the right way and took great pride in providing for and spending time with his family.
Outside of work, David loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, gardening, and spending time with his cows. He had a true green thumb and loved filling his home with beautiful flowers and plants. One of his greatest joys was being on a tractor, cutting hay and working the land alongside his family. Those moments created memories that will be cherished for generations.
David was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his son, David Kyle Barnett, and his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Huffman/Barnett. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Brandon Kyle Barnett, Katlyn Magee, Caleb Huffman, and Bella Huffman, and his great-grandchildren, Paisleigh Barnett, Bayleigh Barnett, and Grayson Barnett.

David will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, his green thumb, his love for his animals, and most of all, his devotion to his family. He was a man who taught those around him the value of hard work and the importance of making memories together.
His family will forever cherish the countless days spent fishing, hunting, farming, riding tractors, cutting hay, working the land, and simply being together. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone whose life he touched.
David Lynn Barnett will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever.
