He graduated from Capitol Hill high school. He worked at Humpty Dumpty, pratts, mega market and Walmart in the produce department. He was a very loyal man, and he loved his family. He loved playing baseball with Hillcrest heights Baptist Church. Our favorite vacation was going to Arizona and California. The proudest moment was when me (Karla) and Keely, his children were born. We were the apple of his eyes. He was in the Air Force for 4 years and his last year he was in Vietnam. His surviving children are Karla and Glen Wells of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, and Keely and Wallace Beck. His sister Marie Holland and her husband Pete of Moore Oklahoma, and his brother Larry and Mickey Davenport Moore Oklahoma. He has 2 grandchildren Lucretia Davenport and Cody trahan, niece Jennifer St Amanda of Missouri, and nephew Brian Davenport of Norman Oklahoma. David Davenport was preceded in death by his father Otes Davenport and mother Naomi Davenport of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, his brother Arthur Davenport of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, and his wife Virginia Davenport of Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
