David Earl Sholly

David Earl Sholly, 84, passed away September 30, 2010 in Independence, Kansas. He was born March 5, 1926 in Montour County, Pennsylvania to John and Aimee Sholly. He received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Pilgrim Holiness Bible School in Colorado Springs, CO where he met and married Mary Dardon on June 5, 1951. Mary passed away March 1973. He later married Doris Rine, August 31, 1974. He was a minister and pastured churches in Colorado, Texas, and Rhode Island.

David is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; a daughter, Devona Moore and husband Don of Independence, KS; a son, John Sholly and wife Carolyn of Bethany, OK; a brother, John William Sholly of Winfield, PA; granddaughters Sheryl Denison, Kara Moore, Nichola McCasland, Roxana Nadeau, Misty Breedlove, Elizabeth Sholly and Mary Sholly; grandsons Samuel Sholly and Benjamin Sholly. David also has ten great grandchildren; Jessica Colson, Hunter Colson, and Cheyanne Colson; great grandsons Joel Denison and Owen Denison; great granddaughters Brooke McCasland and Kallie McCasland; Michael Nadeau, Jonathan Nadeau and Aimee Sebastian in addition to other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Guardian West Funeral Home on Sunday, October3, from 2pm-4pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 4, 2010, at Bible Missionary Church, 7000 NW 36th Street, Bethany, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
