Diane was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1949. She grew up in Macon, Georgia, and graduated from McEvoy High School. She went on to get her associates degree from Columbus College in Georgia and then became a Registered Nurse. She dedicated her life to helping others and would go above and beyond for anyone in need.
She converted to Catholicism in the early 1990s and was a devout Catholic, eager to tell everyone about her faith and the love of Jesus Christ. She loved all of the saints, especially St. Padre Pio.
One of Diane's favorite pastimes was to take care of her grandchildren. They will forever cherish the memories spent with grandma of baking, shopping, going to church, and watching children's shows and movies. Diane also enjoyed gardening and was a great cook.
Diane was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Douglas Giroux, her mother Rebecca Ann Buell Draughon, step-father Roy Weldon Draughon, brother Russell Edward Draughon, and sister Emma Jane Draughon Brewer.
She is survived by her brother Roy Bruce Draughon of Macon, Georgia, her brother Richard Ellis Draughon of Palm Springs, California, her sons Stephen Bradley Giroux of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michael Douglas Giroux and Aaron Christopher Giroux of Edmond, Oklahoma, grandchildren Yoan Giroux of Sofia Bulgaria, and Keagan Giroux and Lincoln Giroux of Edmond, Oklahoma.
