In Loving Memory of Debra Ann Reber

Debra “Debi” Ann (Huyge) Reber was born in Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, Alaska on January 11, 1964, to Michael Edward Huyge and Phyllis Ann Lushenko. and lived a life defined by faith, service. She passed from this earthly life on June 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering belief in God.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Debi served her country (1983 – 1987) with honor and dedication. Her commitment to service continued throughout her life, including her support of fellow veterans through charitable contributions to the Veterans Administration and causes close to her heart.

Debi was a gifted cake maker, a gift she learned from her grandmother Lushenko and an accomplished quilter whose talents brought joy to countless family members and friends. Whether creating a beautiful quilt stitched with love or baking a cake for a special occasion, she poured her heart into everything she made.

Her creations were more than gifts; they were expressions of her love and generosity.

Her passion for history, patriotism, and community service led her to become a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. She took great pride in helping establish and support an organization dedicated to preserving America's heritage and honoring those who came before us.

Above all, Debi's life was anchored in her faith. She was deeply devoted to God and steadfast in her love for Jesus Christ, whom she often referred to as Yahshua. She was a devoted member of the Messianic Jewish Synagogue Rosh Pinah Oklahoma City. Her faith guided her decisions, sustained her through life's challenges, and shaped the compassionate way she treated others. She found comfort and purpose in her relationship with her Savior and looked forward with confidence to the promises of eternal life.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” — Philippians 4:13

One of the greatest blessings of Debi's life was the friendship she shared with her "sister from another mother," Cherri Thomas. Their bond was one of loyalty, laughter, encouragement, and unconditional love. Cherri's friendship enriched Debi's life immeasurably, and their connection remained a treasured gift through the years.

Though Debi experienced many joys and accomplishments, she often shared one heartfelt regret—that she never had the opportunity to become a grandmother. Even so, she poured her nurturing spirit into the lives of those around her, offering wisdom, encouragement, and love wherever she went.

Debi will be remembered for her strong faith, patriotic spirit, creative talents, generous heart, and steadfast loyalty to family and friends. Her life touched many people, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Debi is survived by her loving Husband of 42 years Ron. Her daughter Nicole Reber and partner Becca Curlee of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Jeremy, husband of Kyra Reber, of San Diego, CA; Mother Phyllis Harmon, of Minot, ND; brothers, Scott, husband of Gail Huyge, of Roswell, GA, Stanley, husband of Becky Huyge, of Colorado Springs, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

As we celebrate Debi's life, we give thanks for her service, her friendship, her faith, and the love she shared so freely. Though she is deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing that she has completed her earthly journey and rests in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.

Debi will have a viewing on June 12, 2026, from 2PM – 6PM at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home at 8805 NE 23rd Street. Oklahoma City, OK 73141

She will be laid to rest at the Strausstown Union Cemetery in Strausstown, PA
