DeeAnna Lee (Dumont) Wellborn, age 84, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23, 2025. She was born on May 3, 1941, in Oklahoma City to Marvin John Dumont and Virginia Helen (Saul) Dumont.
DeeAnna’s life was deeply rooted in family, love, and devotion. At just 14 years old, she met the boy who would become her lifelong partner, Jack Tracy Wellborn, who lived only two houses down. Their story grew into a marriage that lasted sixty-seven years, a testament to enduring love, friendship, and commitment.
DeeAnna found joy in simple, meaningful moments. She loved playing Bridge with Jack and their friends and spending time working puzzles with family members around her cherished card table. These moments reflected her warmth and her love of togetherness.
For a time, DeeAnna and Jack lived in a home whose backyard connected to property behind Sky Ranch Elementary School in Oklahoma City. During those years, DeeAnna served as a substitute teacher with Oklahoma City Public Schools while their children were in school. This chapter of her life was brief, as the family later moved to Windsor Hills, where DeeAnna and Jack made their home for more than twenty years. There, DeeAnna devoted herself fully to being a homemaker, ensuring that her family was always cared for and supported.
DeeAnna’s compassion extended beyond her immediate household. When her mother, Virginia, became elderly, she lived with DeeAnna and Jack, where Dee lovingly cared for her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
DeeAnna was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Virginia Dumont, and her beloved son, Michael Jack Wellborn, who passed in 2021, and many other loved ones. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jack Tracy Wellborn; son, John Wellborn and wife Heidi, daughter, Tracy Armstrong and husband Kevin, and daughter Sherri Rose and husband Monty; her sister, Donna Jo Berryhill; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
DeeAnna will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, located at 8701 Northwest Expy, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73162. The service is scheduled for January 5, 2026, at 10:00 am.
