Delmar Earl Sires “Junior” was born on 28 June, 1944, in Perry, Oklahoma to Delmar Sires Sr. and Juanita (Williams) Sires and passed away on 27 April, 2024, in Harrah, Oklahoma. He was married to Bobbie Jean Sires in 1964 in Choctaw, Oklahoma. and they were married for 40 years. “Junior” enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a retired aircraft mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base. He was also known to fix a car or two at “Sires Garage” in Choctaw.
Delmar is survived by his two sons, Johnny (Jamie) Sires of Dale, Oklahoma, and Dennis (Melissa) Sires of Harrah, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brandi James of Dale, Oklahoma, Johnny (Elizabeth) Sires Jr. of Dale, Oklahoma, Tanner Sires of Harrah, Oklahoma, and Cody (Jaci) Sires of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Delmar also leaves behind two sisters, Kathy Baker of Edmond, Oklahoma, Linda Skelton of Denton, Texas, and five great-grandchildren.
Delmar is preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Jean Sires, his parents Delmar Sires Sr. and Juanita Sires, and sisters Joan Kusler of Gore Oklahoma, and Earlene Hillman of Jones, Oklahoma.
A visitation for Delmar will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A graveside service will occur at Elmwood Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Sires, Dennis Sires, Johnny Sires Jr., Tanner Sires, Cody Sires and Larry Wolffrum.
