

Delphia Elizabeth Mullen, 90 year-old resident of Canadian, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord on April 13, 2014 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Born November 26, 1923 in Claremore, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Isom Dennis Raley and Florence Ethel (Cowles) Raley. Delphia was married to Harley Miles Mullen on June 14, 1941. They were married for over 60 years and were a model for all their family and friends. They had been residents of Midwest City, Oklahoma for many years prior to their moving to Arrowhead Estates in Canadian, Oklahoma where they enjoyed their retirement years together. She was the oldest of 13 children and had been a hardworking homemaker for most of her life. A dear lady who was always helping someone she will be deeply missed. Delphia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harley Mullen; sisters, Betty Farrow; Fern Baker; Earlene Randall; Joyce Brown; and Mary Judd; brothers, J. R. Raley; W. H. Raley; and Eddie Raley. Survivors include 4 children, Joyce and her husband Raymond Pate of Canadian, OK; Dean and his wife Janice Mullen of Cleburne, Texas; Margie Ballenger of Midwest City, OK; and Jim and his wife Tora Mullen of Bon Aire, Georgia; sisters, Virginia and her husband George Jackson of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; and Jackie and her husband Bud Cooper of Checotah, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren who all called her “Nanny”; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73141. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
