Dewayn D. Fanning

Dewayn went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Dewayn was born in an adobe hut with dirt floors on April 7, 1938 in Tucumcari, NM. He joins in Heaven parents Donald and Audrice Fanning, sister Donna and brothers Gerald and Gale Edwin.

Dewayn married the love of his life Judith Ann Griffin; Dewayn and Judy shared their love over 53 years. This love flowed into their children; Christy Reed and husband Ben, Cindy Radford, Gerald and his wife Shannon Fanning. Dewayn was active in all of his children and grandchildren’s lives. Poppy Champ cherished his time with grandchildren Dr. Kimberly Greenlee Blassingame and husband Johnny, Daniel Greenlee, Chandler Radford and wife Megan, Griffin Radford, Brittney, Cassady, Jenna and Clay Fanning as well as his great-grandchildren Kylie and Ty Greenlee. Dewayn is also survived by brother Darrel Gene and wife Patricia of Boulder, CO.

Dewayn retired from AT&T in 1989 after 30 years of service. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Jack Pontious Dad’s best friend since 1st grade for all of his love and caring, and to Dr. Matthew Britt and staff.

Memorials can be made to Forest Hill Christian Church Building Fund; 2121 N. MacArthur OKC 73127. Services will be held at Forest Hill on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 10:00 am. Family will greet friends from 4 pm until 6 pm on Sunday, March 28th at Guardian West Funeral Home; 5820 N.W. 41st Street, OKC, OK.
