Dicksy Jane Waller was born October 22, 1925 to Stella and Richard Harkins. Dicksy’s parents separated early in her life and she did not know her father well. When Dicksy was 19 her mother married Howard Melvin Crocker and he became “Dad” to her. She worked for the State of Oklahoma first for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and later at the Tax Commission. She met Page Waller while at the Highway Patrol and they were married on June 29, 1978. The two of them were involved with Toastmasters until Page’s death earlier this year and they were also members of Kindling Community church. Dicksy had a quick wit and would often bring on a good laugh with her comments. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kathryn Rodgers and her husband, Page. She is survived by 3 cousins, Dorothy Lester, Paul B. Odom, and Bob McLemore. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Historic Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery.
