Donald Lyle Dalrymple

Donald Lyle Dalrymple, 56 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away March 30, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born April 14, 1960 in Lawton, Oklahoma, he was the son of Evelyn Laura Dalrymple. Donald was a warehouseman/delivery driver in manufacturing. He was an avid griller; loved sports of all kinds, especially OU Sooners; OKC Thunder; Jones Longhorns; and the Oakland Raiders. Donald always watched the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy on TV. Most important of all were his 9 grandchildren as they were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Dalrymple. Survivors include his wife Rita (Carter) Dalrymple of the home; 1 son, Donald Lyle Dalrymple, Jr. and his wife Jeanna of Choctaw, OK; 2 daughters, April and her husband Jason Anderson of Jones, OK; and Laura and her husband Will Horton, II of Jones, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jamie Staggs of Tulsa, OK; Leslie Scruggs of Edmond, OK; and Amber Warren of Edmond, OK; his step-father, Vernon Graham; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Jones, Oklahoma with Pastor Alan Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma.
