Early on, he wanted to be a Forest Ranger and he loved nature throughout his life.
Don was proud to be an American and was proud to have served his country. During his service in the Vietnam War, he was awarded a purple heart.
Everyone that knew Don, knew he was very devoted man to his late wife Nelda, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
He loved to spoil the grandkids and great grandkids. When asked about what made him smile, he would reply, “my grandkids and great grandkids”. He was so very proud of his children, grandkids and great grandkids.
He was the best Santa’s helper, playing Santa for his great granddaughter’s first Christmas, and for over 10 years of Santa parties, and special appearances for family and friends, he dressed up and helped in celebrating Jesus’s birthday.
His faith was very important to him. He was active in his church, Family Life Assembly of God. Even when he was not able to attend due to his declining health, he drew great strength from his church family.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. Some of his favorite places were Yellowstone, Disney World, Italy and camping at the lake.
Don passed to his eternal home on July 27, 2021, and is reunited with his late wife Nelda Endicott, his infant daughter Kristine N. Endicott, his brother Roger Endicott and his mom and dad, Ira and Mildred Endicott, who preceded him in death.
