

Donald “Hillbilly” Dwaine Jones said his final goodbyes to his loved ones On October 17, 2023. Don entered this world on February 23, 1941 to parents Goval R. Jones and Willie Mildred (Drinnon) Jones in Clinton, Oklahoma. Don spent his life living in multiple cities in Oklahoma like Hammon, Altus, and Oklahoma City. He also left his mark in other places like Watertown, Wisconsin, and Washington State. Once Don finished highschool he pursued a career as a Truck Driver.
In 1961, Don married Tana Moorelene Hefner, the couple welcomed their daughter, Dana Dlayne Jones, in July of that same year. The two divorced and Don married Mary, and during their relationship they adopted little Donald Jones. Don would divorce Mary and met Shirley Rose by way of his sister, Dee. They got married and he adopted her two sons Steven Michael and Scott Marvin. Shirley would sadly pass away, but Don would then wed Peggy Joann Colwell.
Hillbilly enjoyed so much in his life like listening to country music, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. A perfect day to him would be spending time at the lake fishing with his boys, and then finding someone on the shore to gift the fish to. Don loved watching his sister, Lena, play poker. Don was a family man, always there for his kids when they needed him. He taught them how to stay resilient, even through the toughest of times.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, G.R. Jones and Willie Mildred Jones, is son, Donald Jones, siblings, Lena, Dee, James, and Kenneth.
Don is survived by his children, Dana Dlayne Jameson of Friona, Texas; Steven Michael Jones (Emily) of Eagle River, Wisconsin, Scott Marvin Jones (Kelly) of Watertown, Wisconsin, Gary Baker and wife Connie, and Judy Baker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, siblings Gary, David, and Michael, grandchildren Krystle Harris of Watertown, Wisconsin, Levi (Ashley) of Dubuque, Iowa, Tyler of Hereford, Texas, Joshua of Friona, Texas, Jayden of Watertown, Iowa, Caleb Baker, Logan Redford, Colby Redford, great-grandchildren Edith, Kaitlyn, Jaden, Gianna, and Charlotte, numerous nieces and nephews, and a loving dog, Babe who was by his side at all times and misses him terribly.
The Jones family would like to extend their gratitude to Judy Baker and Life Springs Hospice for caring for Don in his final days.
A visitation for Don will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in Hammon, Oklahoma at Community Fellowship Church (109 Broadway, Hammon, Oklahoma 73650), followed by a committal service at Red Hill Cemetery.
