Doris graduated from Central High School, afterwards entering the University of Oklahoma and graduating with a degree in Journalism. After graduation, she moved to Enid, Oklahoma where she worked as a reporter/photographer for the Enid paper, then on to Hollywood, California working for studios photographing up and coming movie stars; her favorite being Doris Day.
Her parents’ illness brought her back to Oklahoma City, where along with her sister Jerry, they established Pappas Bookkeeping and Tax Service, which they ran until their retirement in 2003. In her later years, she resided at Quail Ridge Senior Living.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 30th, at 10:00 am at Fairlawn Cemetery with Chaplain Susan Stephenson officiating.
