Doris E. Phillips, 83 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on May 31, 2011 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born June 3, 1927 in Arcadia, Texas, she was the daughter of Claude Chadwick McCarty and Alice Jane Cox McCarty. Doris was a homemaker. She loved to crochet and be with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe W. Phillips; 1 daughter, Christine Allbright; and 1 grandson, John D. Hart. Survivors include two sons, Claude W. Phillips of Daytona Beach, Florida; Elmer and Elaine Phillips of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Alma and Brian Hart of Massachusetts; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Juanita McCarty of Tyler, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., with Dr. Bob Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
