Dorothy Cohen, 96, passed away peacefully in Houston on July 9, 2025, surrounded by loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Albert, and by her beloved children, Brian and Nancy. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Karen Cohen-Buchine and Donna Cohen; her son-in-law, Mitch Sirotkin; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brent, Heather, Nathan, and Ryan Buchine; Sam and Sarah Sirotkin; Aron, Kara, Aleeza, and Avi Schneider; her sister-in-law, Arlene Kamer; her amazing caregivers, Ann Belisle, Amelia Page, and Peggy Sanders, the newest members of Dorothy’s family; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Dorothy was a very special woman who meant so much to so many people, captivating all who knew her warmth, wit, strength, generosity, and loving nature. She will be dearly missed.
The Funeral Service will take place at Emanuel Synagogue, 900 N.W. 47th St. in Oklahoma City on Monday, July 14, at 10:00 a.m. The service will be followed by burial at Emanual Hebrew Cemetery, 10731 S. Western Ave., Oklahoma City.
