Dorothy May Collier passed Tuesday morning, August 9th, 2011. She was born Dorothy May Grandstaff on June 17th, 1920 in a tent in Slick, Oklahoma to Ira and Sophia Grandstaff. She was the 5th of 8 children – Millard, Juanita, Annie, Ellen, Margie, W.A., and Leonard. She married Elmo Collier in 1941 and they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1942. They had two children; Jimmy, who died shortly after birth, and Jerry who is still a resident of Edmond. She was faithful in her union to Elmo and never remarried. She retired from Maclanburg-Duncan where she worked for over 30 years. She is survived by her brother W.A., son Jerry and his wife, Sherry, her grandson, John and his wife, Yolenda, her granddaughters Micah and Erin, and her three great grandchildren, Lavenrina, Morgan, and Zachary. She was a long time member of the Edmond Church of Christ and services will be held there on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10:00am. Viewing will be at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
