Dorothy Jane Hubbard-Dot, Dit Dot, Dotty, and Sissy-Dedicated Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt, And Friend of Many, Passed Away on November 16th, 2022 at the Age of 76 In Shawnee. Dorothy was born In Gothenburg, Nebraska on May 24th, 1946 to Coy McEntire and Florence Campbell McEntire. She Graduated from North Platte High School, and soon after she graduated, she met the love of her life, Lloyd Wayne Hubbard Jr., In San Diego, California. The Two Soon Married in 1965, before he was shipped off to The Vietnam War for the Navy. Once he returned home, they settled in MWC, OK. Dorothy started her Career as one of the 1st Employees To work for Century Martial Arts, where she would eventually become Plant Manager until she retired. Lloyd and Dorothy would add to their family on August 15, 1978, when they would Adopt their only Child, Tara Lynn Hubbard (Porter). They spoiled Tara and showered her with the most love and affection. Their lives quickly turned to catering to Tara's Dance Recitals, hobbies, driving friends around in her Teenage Years, and becoming The Neighborhood Parents. Dorothy loved to take Tara for Drives around the lake or to see the leaves change color on Talihina Dr. The 3 Of Them Went everywhere together, and it was known that if Lloyd and Dorothy were going to be attending something...Tara Would Be Right There with Them. Dorothy was a Huge Bon Jovi Fan. And Tara took her to see him in Concert 3 Times, where she would say Mom embarrassed Tara, with her loud screams when he walked out in his Leather Pants. Once Retired, Dorothy loved traveling to Nebraska to spend time with her loving Sisters, Susie Chitwood and Kathy Sprague, or as she called them...Pooch and Fatsy Nan, Her Younger Brother, Rick and many Nieces and Nephews that she adored. She was known as, Sissy. Sissy was very protective of her Siblings and liked to take on the Roll as "Boss" of the Family. The Sisters took several trips together, and they earned a Special Nickname, that only Family calls them! They enjoyed all their time together. And even up until Dorothy's Final Days, they were running around town, laughing and enjoying each other. Rick was her Baby Brother. When he was born, Dorothy wouldn't let anyone hold him because that was her Baby. She had a strong love for him and always wanted to protect him. What Dorothy enjoyed most of all, was being Nana to Mackenzie, Chloe, Malakai, and Aaliyah. Dorothy was present at all The Births of her Grandchildren. She embraced the role of the Nana who wouldn't tell the kids, "No". She attended every concert, awards ceremonies, took them to parks and walks while she pulled them in a Wagon, sat at track meets and football games in the rain, and was her Grandbabies biggest Cheerleader. She loved to Sing and Dance with them. It's one of their Favorite Memories with Nana. Her Favorite Song to Sing was, "I Love You a Bushel and a Peck, and a Hug Around the Neck". They will forever Cherish Those Memories with Their Nana. Through the years Dorothy loved to cause Mischief with her Neighbor of over 40 years, Gayle Finley. The Two Were Known to have all the Neighborhood Gossip Down. They traveled together and had numerous cookouts, and Family Lake Trips. She was A Special Friend to Dorothy. She loved spending time with Lloyd's Family, as well. Sandy, Sister-in-Law, and Tom Hubbard, and Many Nieces and Nephews, held a Special Place in her heart. Dorothy and Sandy spent a lot of time together, and she loved her like her own Sister. Dorothy spent most of her time with her Meadowood Baptist Church Family. They enjoyed playing Cards every Friday Night, went Caroling during the Holidays, Chequers for Lunch on Sundays after Church, and Volunteering at Meadowood Master's Market. Even taking her Grandkids to help Volunteer with Her. She loved her Best Friend, Wilma Broadstone, and she looked forward to their "Beauty Shop" Days with Toni Dawn. She loved Wilma's Grandbabies like they were her own. As Dorothy was Diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, a New Chapter in Her and Her Family's Lives started. It brought her New Friendships and Laughs, with everyone at Belfair of Shawnee who Assisted in Taking Care of her. Dorothy Felt like she worked there, and the Staff would even let her Attend Staff Meetings in the Mornings. The Family would like to extend their greatest Appreciation to the Belfair of Shawnee Staff. Although Alzheimer's May Have Taken Her Memory...She never forgot the Names of the One's She Held Dear, and Never Took Her Feisty Spirit.
