Dorothy Ann Patton, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013, after a short illness. Dorothy was born on June 19, 1922, in Oklahoma City, to Henry Calvin Norick and Ruth Coleman Norick. The family lived in Waynoka, Oklahoma from 1923 to 1928 and moved back to Oklahoma City where she graduated from Classen High School. Dorothy worked at the family business, Norick Brothers Printing Company for many years. After marrying Wilbur Paul Patton in New York City August 21, 1943, she took on the role of homemaker and then, caring mother to their three children. Dorothy was active at University Place Christian Church and at Crown Heights Christian Church. She was a partner of Norick Investment Company, a 20 family member holding company representing three generations of Norick’s. She will always be remembered for her kind, gentle nature. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father and her two dear sisters, Frances and Marge. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Patton; daughter, Julie McIntosh and her husband, Bill; daughter, Kristina Beatty Murphy; son, David and his wife, Jody; grandchildren; Ryan Jameson Beatty, Kent Norick Beatty, Jennifer Rachel Beatty, Staci Patton, and Jeff Patton and his wife, Sarah; great grandchildren; Chayton Patton and Cheyenne Patton, brother, James H. Norick; niece, Vickie Norick and nephew, Ronald J. Norick and many great and great great nieces and nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Dorothy’s name to the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Crown Heights Christian Church, 4020 N. Western with internment at Rose Hill.
