Dorothy Dean Rawson
March 3, 1925 – July 20, 2020
On July 20th, Dorothy went from sleeping comfortably, to being escorted through the gates of Heaven. She was welcomed by those who had gone before her. Dorothy's parents, her beloved Husband, Glen, her sisters and brothers, more family members, and friends.
Dorothy was born on March 3rd, 1925 to George and Ella "Eleanor" Bethsheba. She spent the majority of her childhood in Tuttle and Mountain View, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Glen E. Rawson on January 19, 1942 and spent 48 glorious years together before he made his journey to the kingdom.
Dorothy loved the Lord and lived her life helping others, she would take care of sick family members. Dorothy and Glen took care of and helped raise many foster children, receiving an award for taking care of over 100 throughout their time as foster parents. She loved her dogs, she enjoyed shopping, especially Thrift Stores where she would always find a bargain! Glen and Dorothy had a trailer at Fort Cobb Lake and would go there nearly every weekend. But the underlying problem was, she hated fishing and camping. But because of her love for her husband, she went anyway. Dorothy enjoyed her life and wanted everyone around her to do the same.
She will be missed and cherished by her daughter, Carolyn "Sue" Bridges and her husband Ron, Sue's son, Steve Dunbar; daughter, Sharon Davis and her husband David, their children Zina Davis and David Davis, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte Hiddleston and her husband Bruce and their children, Frankey Kelley, Sherry Robinson, Jerald Philips; son, Glen "Larry" Rawson, along with all their spouses, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Everyone has been blessed beyond measure to be part of her life. Until we meet again...We Love You.
