Dorothy Lois Vail was born on July 31, 1943 in San Diego, California, to Charles and Opal Vail. She was the oldest of three children and was the only daughter to her parents. She moved from California to Pueblo Colorado, where she graduated from South High School. She then went on to complete her Associate’s degree before becoming an administrative assistant for the Federal Department of the Interior. In 1970, she married Tom Sam Rougas, of Pueblo, Colorado. Tom and Dottie were married for 52 years wonderful years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Opal and Charles Vail, and two brothers; Charles Vail, Jr. and Dennis Vail.
She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Tom Sam Rougas, Children; Stacie Elizabeth Rougas, Nonie Rougas Hawkins and Samuel Tom Rougas, Son in Laws; Eric Lane Reding and Beau Michael Hawkins, Grandchildren; Nonie Elizabeth Reding, Alexander Thomas Hawkins, Samuel Julian Reding, Vasileia Katherine Reding and Violet Elizabeth Hawkins.
