

Dorothy was born on June 7, 1934 to Charles Farmer Hall and Ida Eugene (Compton) Hall. She was the youngest of twelve children. Dorothy was born in Spaulding, Oklahoma and attended school in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
She passed peacefully the morning of June 18, 2026. Dorothy married the love of her life, Lafoy Junior Wood on June 9, 1953. After living in Ft. Hood, Texas and Oklahoma City, they purchased their forever home in Nicoma Park, Oklahoma in 1965. The couple raised two sons and two daughters. Dorothy was a member of the Nicoma Park Church of Christ for over 60 years. She loved to spend time with family, travel with Belinda and Bunny, play games with her grandchildren, sew, and work in her garden. She was a full-time mom, a florist for several years with her best friend Sue Stroud, and retired to become a full-time Nana.
Dorothy’s parents, her husband Lafoy, eleven siblings, and son, Charles, preceded her in death.
Surviving her is son: Damon Wood and wife Gina; two daughters: Teresa Wall and husband Kim; LaQuita Cook and husband Alan. Her love for her seven grandchildren: Monica, Carlie, Cori, Niki, Dylan, Alec, and Jonny is immeasurable. She leaves behind many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Homestead Assisted Living in Del City and Luminos Hospice for their amazing care during Dorothy’s final days.
