Earnest “Ernie” Garbe was born in Guthrie, OK August 3, 1937 to Erick and Elizabeth Garbe. He graduated Guthrie high school in 1955 and later attended Vocational School. August of 1960 he was inducted into the Army where he served his country until 1966. Shortly after he married Betty Gripado in Okmulgee, OK. He retired from Fife Corporation after many years of dedicated service. He is preceded in death by his parents ;wife Betty; sister, Carol Manke; 2 brothers; son, Larry Clutter; grandson, Nathan Clutter. Ernie is survived by son Robert and wife Sharon Clutter of Edmond, OK; daughter, Janice Laubach of Sulfer, Ok; daughter-in-law, Deborah Clutter of Guthrie, OK ;6 grandchildren Bobby, Kevin, Michael, Kari and Staci Clutter and Kim Thomas; 7 great-grandchildren Miles, Brenden, Jeremy, Jonathan and Nathan Clutter, Michael Hodges and Austin Strickler and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday April 1, 2013 Noon-8 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
