Edith Mae Young, 92, a longtime resident of Nicoma Park, passed away on 11/1/2011 at Arbor House. Edith was born 12/14/1918, in Stratford, OK to John Columbus and Florence Melinda (Milligan) Harris. She married William A. Young on 1/25/1944. Edith lived in Nicoma Park until moving to Arbor House in 2004. She worked as a cook in the CNP schools for over 30 years.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, 11/4/2011 at the Luther Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, W. A. “Bill” Young Jr., Choctaw, OK; J.R. Young, North Richland Hills, TX and Roger Young, Longmont, CO; and many grand and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has recommended that donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's organizations. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
