Edwin Elliott Crist

Edwin Elliott “Ed” Crist of Edmond, OK., passed away November 14, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Ed was born November 17, 1941, in Stafford, KS. Ed worked as an Information Technology Director and retired from Gulf Stream in 2005. He had a passion for his dogs, everything to do with computers, and enjoyed landscaping. The Crist family was active in Olivet Baptist Church in Oklahoma City for many years before moving to Edmond and attending Quail Springs Baptist Church. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Henry Merlin and M. Olive Crist. He is survived by his wife Linda Crist and daughter Lexy of the home; daughter Jennifer Gilmore and grandson Michael Gilmore; daughter Lynna Brown and husband Kenneth, grandchildren Kolton and Karleigh; daughter Elizabeth Deas and husband Steven and granddaughter Luarel. Ed is also survived by his brothers Richard Crist and wife Grace of Niceville, FL.; Henry Crist of Spring City, TN.; and his sister Marilyn Chambers and husband Tom of Spring City, TN., and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held, Friday 10AM, November 18, 2011 at Guardian West Funeral Home with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Thursday from 8AM-8PM at Guardian West Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Humane Society, or the charity of your choice.
