Eileen Louise Giacomini Brown Fee passed into the arms of God on January 27, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on March 11, 1920 to Clarence and Louise Giacomini of Leavenworth, KS. Both her parents passed when Eileen and her sister Gloria were young and then they were raised by her mother’s sister, Dorothy, and her husband Lathrop Brown. For a short period they lived in Minnesota before settling in OKC. Eileen attended OCU for a couple of years before getting a secretary job at Shell Oil Company and there she met her husband Tom Fee. They wed on Oct. 18, 1952 and were married for 33 years before Tom passed away in 1985.
Eileen was involved in many clubs in OKC. She was a member of the Art League, the Oklahoma Museum of Art, Early American Glass Club, Red Bud, The Geological Wives Association, and was an honorary member of Le Midi.
She was a long time member of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club and was involved with the Oklahoma Symphony. She was a very social person and one of her favorite pastimes was throwing luncheons and parties with her friends. She truly loved life.
She was a true lady and had a wonderful sense of humor. She saw beauty in everything, Eileen loved her five grandchildren, art, traveling, flowers, long car rides, and listening to Andrea Bocelli sing opera. Truly she had a green thumb and it wasn’t often you didn’t see Eileen without her camera. She loved a nice glass of wine and a good steak cooked by Sam at the club. One of her friends Ruth Norton once said “Eileen always wore the most beautiful bright colors and when she walked into the room she brought happiness.” She was happiness. She will be horribly missed by her daughter and friends.
Immediate survivors include her daughter Kathleen Fee Droemer and her husband Devin Droemer, and Eileen’s five wonderful grandchildren, Sara Fee, Samantha Fee, Amanda Fee, Megan Fee and Berin Droemer. She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Thomas Fee, her son Thomas Lathrop Fee, her parents Dorothy and Lathrop Brown and sister Gloria Ann Blanchard and her husband Ross Blanchard.
Services will be held at 1 on Thursday February 13, 201 at Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City. The family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the S.T. Fee Memorial Scholarship at Casady School.
